NIE Top Up Grant – Latest Info On Domestic Wind Turbine Funding In Northern Ireland
As we announced earlier in the year, regarding the closure of the LCBP Stream 1 funding programme for renewable electricity generating technologies in early February 2010. NIE SMART programme is going to offer support to householders for solar pv and wind in an attempt to maintain a level of momentum in the Northern Ireland market.
NiE are pleased to announce that the grant levels, are as follows:
Wind Turbines – £900 per kw installed, or 30% of the revelant costs, which ever is the lesser amount, up to £4500.
Note: Funding will not be available for retrospective installations – only applications submitted from the 8th March 2010 will be eligible for funding from this new grant.
This new NIE Household Grant is a limited offer and is available only on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
