Small Scale (5 / 6 kw) Domestic Wind Turbines In Northern Ireland – Planning Review

The Planning Service in Northern Ireland recently held a discussion seminar regarding  the future of Planning Applications for Small Scale Wind Turbines ( 5 kw / 6kw ?), although only a proposal at this stage, it’s a step forward in the right direction for all concerned.

A snap shot of the Free Standing Wind Turbine proposal reads…..

……………………………………………………………………………………………….

With a blade tip height of 15m, and diameter of 6m, we feel this proposal  is geared towards the Domestic/Householder in Northern Ireland. Hopefully the proposal will adopt more generous turbine dimensions to cater for the Commercial & Agri sector.
